Laura Robson secured her first win under new
coach Miles Maclagan to reach the second round of the AEGON
International in Eastbourne.

The British No 1 proved much stronger than Ukrainian qualifier Yuliya Beygelzimer and came through comfortably 6-3 6-2.
Robson, 19, teamed up with Maclagan ahead of the grass season and is
aiming to recapture her best form for Wimbledon after losing her first
match in Birmingham last week to eventual title winner Daniela
Hantuchova.
And although she was erratic in the early stages of her latest match,
a break for 4-2 in the opening set settled her down and she soon took
control, powering down eight aces in a one-sided affair.
Robson will next be seeking revenge for her early French Open exit
when she takes on former world No 1 Caroline Wozniacki in the second
round.
There was a major upset late in the day as top seed and last year’s
Wimbledon finalist Agnieszka Radwanska was dumped out by Jamie Hampton.
Hampton, 23, reached the fourth round of the French Open and she overpowered the Pole after a tight opening set.
Radwanska fought back from a break down early on to take the first
set to a tie-break but it was Hampton who won it, and the underdog
dominated the second set to win 7-6 (7-2) 6-2.
